I know not another stud question, but I was wondering which studs I want to use in my XTX with Hurricane Power Up Kit.
I am on the fence between Gold Digger Traction Master and Mega-bit stud, not sure which one I want, I think I'm going to either go with 144 or 171
Also stuck on fence whether to get 1.325" or 1.450"
What is everyone using?
If not Woody's, what have people found that work better?
So many options

Studboy has a brand new backer which is completely new in design to the market. It's called a Super- Lite Pro Backer. It looks very interesting. See www.studboytraction.com

I would use at least 1.45 and I like mega bites. I have 152 and wish I had a few more. 57 pitch track so I have a 2-2-3 pattern right know but will be getting longer ones and adding some soon.

I'm just worried that with the extra power from the Hurricane Hindle kit, that 114 wont be enough to get good traction

114 wont be enough...I run that kit and have 144 mega bites....traction is an issue.

Should I go 152 or 171, I just dont want to have a ton of studs and I want to keep them in the center?
Thanks
I would follow the " 1 stud per HP " rule...so 152 should be good.

I'm going to follow that rule and do the 152 1.45, now just have to figure out backers, may try the new stud boy superlite pro backer.
Pros vs Cons ?
Thanks

If that's the plastic backer I wouldn't....my brother in law bought those the first year out...every single one of them broke...Studboy sent him all new aluminum ones.

I am going with 171 in the center belt only. Here is what Woody's recommended if you want to avoid the direct center area....
"David, Mark here at woodys. David if that is the case then you would not do the three singles per pitch because some of them will be in the center. If you want to avoid the center of the center belt then I would use the 128-temp that template will do a single and a double in each pitch. It also avoids the center because the fire cat that it was designed for had a center tunnel protector if you do the 153 pattern using doubles and singles it will give you 171 because your track is longer.
