Great work Robbie, do you run a silencer on the exhaust?

Yes - I welded up a pipe to a stock gutted muffler, once I get it tuned I'm going to take it off and run a straight pipe to see the gains. I want to be able to trail ride this in the winter and here in Ontario the law is to run stock exhaust.

I run a tunnel dump, it's load. I have not a problem with it, but not all my neighbours are as happy as I'm running my turbo.

If you have a few pics of your build; please send them to my email address:

Were you ok with heat? I ended up having to buy the fiberglass hood because mine kept melting plastics. I would think you would have melted by now though if it was too hot.

Heat was ok, between the coating and the shields which I insulated with heat reflector I could hold my hand on any of the panels - it was warm but definately not close to melting. After my last run I drove the sled back the return road and back to the pits and there was no problem - the sled got hot enough that the fan came on, and I wwas on and off it a bunch of times trying to get it hot.

Thats great news mine was not so lucky it had the PL Ceramic coating, some sort of fire blanket stuff he sent me plus the metal shields and melted the steering post bushing, and plastics. Keep an eye on that steering post bushing.

I used this product on the shields, wrapped the steering bushing and used it on the backside of all the close panels.:

it sticks really well, molds to shape and is thick enough for a rivet to hold it in place just incase the adhesive breaks down.

Thanks Robbie
