So this is my first sled and I would like to hear what others do to summerize their machine. I figured fuel stabilizer and oil change and start it up every couple weeks. I'm also planning on putting on a CE this summer, does having the sled/track sit on concrete for several months do any damage?

I dont put any additives in the fuel, just non-oxygenated premium pump. As far as starting it every once in a while, I dont know if thats a good idea. Only because unless you get it up to operating temp it may cause the plugs to foul. May e more behind it, but thats just me. If you could, I would at least block the track up with a 2x4. I leave mine on the sled lift for the summer..

To store my EFI sled I fill the tank up with premium so there is no air in the tank and add the appropriate fuel stabilizer for storage. I run it for 10 mins to make sure the stabilizers get through the whole system. Change oil, and take out the battery and charge it once a month or battery tender. My dealer instructed me to take the plugs out and spray some fogging oil (for about 2 secconds) in each cylender and replace plugs. He said it is the same idea as people who spray all the metal parts on their sleds with WD-40 to prevent rust. I have never fouled a plug or anything. I do not start it at all during the summer and come first frost I put in battery, check oil and start it up and let it run for 10 mins.
Some guys will change the gas but I have never had an issue when I use the appropriate amount of stabilizers. Starts up after it turns over about 4-5 times.

Fuel tank should be empty or full to prevent moisture. I do not start mine either.
What are you guys doing with your floats? Store with air or with out?

I just take some of the weight off of them

I filled the tank, stabilized the gas, ran it with the stabilized fuel for a while, fogged through the intake until it died, pulled the plugs, fogged through the plug holes, turned it over without the plugs replaced the plugs.
Then I put the track up on blocks and tarped the trailer.

I was told by my dealer to not worry about changing the oil till the beginning of the season, unless you are due for an oil change. I would worry about the old oil sitting in there all summer, but thats me. Is it really necessary to pull the plugs and fog it? I've done it on my two strokes, but getting to the plugs was a lot easier. Not looking forward to removing my trail tank to get to the plugs. And what about using a sled stand that lifts the sled by the rear bumper? Would think that having all that weight on the bumper holding the rear of the sled could put stress on the bumper. Another thing to add is, I always have removed my belts as well. Thanks.
