SUPER BRIGHT LIGHTS

I put them in my APEX GT. Same watage as stock,55/65. Yamaha has used this type of bulb since the mid 80's. You will see a big difference. Park next to another RX or APEX, you will be impressed.

I just bought some for my apex GT. They were on sale at Autozone for 29.99. 9003ST is the part #, now we just need snow!!

Do they come in colors at all like some of the Xenon bulbs? I love the way the colored bulbs look. I realize they don't function as well, but...

I did not see any colors but I dont know for sure. You may want to check out the Sylvania website.

Here is the best bulb test at www.powerbulbs.com as either of these two is a winner.

Winners of the coveted 'Best Buy' award are:

Philips Vision Plus

""This is the best 50+ bulb here. Key to it's success was it's super bright output - the most powerful tested. In the light tunnel, the difference could be seen by the naked eye." and "This is a superb bulb with a particularly wide beam... whether you opt for Philips or Osram you'll have chosen wisely."

Available in H1 , H4 and H7 - in stock and ready to ship.

Osram Silverstar

"Victories don't come much closer than this! In the light tunnel there was little to choose between this and the Philips +50. But the Silverstar gets the Best Buy award, thanks to a slighly better figure in our 75 metre test" and "Original Equipment makers tend to be the best at building bulbs to deliver high light outputs. Osram's version was pipped to the post by Philips, but it still a superb product, with a wide 75 metre beam."

Available in H1, H4 and H7 - in stock and ready to ship.

Philips Blue Vision

"For the first time here is a blue bulb worthy of our Best Buy award. If you must have the xenon look, the Blue Vision is the best of those tested"

Available in: H1, H3, H4, H7, 9005, 9006 - in stock and ready to ship.

The Apex/Attak sleds are now using HB2 spec bulbs. Same spec as H4 but built to tighter standards. HB2 and H4 are interchangeable

Here's some sites with good info about all these new bulbs on the market. Very informative.
