Supercharger

Matt, low boost (trail) setup requires 91 octane while the high boost requires a mix of 50/50 pump fuel & race gas.

.... Boost is boost no matter what makes it, if the slides/plates are closed it has to go somewhere....

Almost, but not quite... when the throttle is closed on a turbocharged engine, the turbocharger quickly loses what drives it - exhaust heat. With the supercharger being belt driven, it will contunue to produce boost based on engine RPM... so when you drop off the throttle, the engine still coasts for a bit, and continues to drive the supercharger, which continues on attempting to cram air into the engine.

Then according to bjowett, superchargers are going to be worse with "stacking" of the air.
