I've been looking at the owners manual (the 6 language thing is a real pain ..) I have an 07 Attak without electronic shocks , & for interest sake which model is it in the manual (RX 10???)?

My front A-arms are almost flat across the front. I notice a fair amount of "dipping" when I go into the corners (does feel soft). When I go into a tight left turn the sled dips into the corner on the right ski. Any suggestions on improving on this? Should I make the preload harder (increase spring seat length)? or vice versa?

The rear end simply feels Too Soft, what is the best way to firm it up? Do I need to order a big boy spring (I weigh 210 lbs). Trying to thaw out the undercarriage to look at where the dealer has it set, they have said it is set hard, but am thinking they actually went in the wrong direction & softened it). Where would you set it for my weight riding mostly fairly well groomed trails with some rough sections ?

Wouldn't think at 210 you would need a bigger spring. If it's a Kayaba mono-shock you have, there are three pre-load positions for the ramped adjustment collar. You have to pull the shock out, compress the spring and move a wire clip that's underneath the collar into another groove in the shock body. The spacing is approx 10mm, so moving up one clip position should do the trick. Also, I'd consider a shock re-valve for your riding style/location.

As far as the front end, if you don't already have one, get a 13mm swaybar. A-arms should be almost level for best handling. Good luck!

Black attak,i have tried the flat a arm like you and felt the same thing, and i hated it,i installed a wide front end kit from pioneer and now it corners like it's on rails,i also had my mono shock re valved to my weight and riding style at shocktec and they rock, very affordable and honest people,i am very pleased whit it now,you can find them here : ttp://www.shocktec.ca/info1.html

I'm looking for the quicker way to fix it for now without sending parts away. At the end of the season I'll look at revalving the shock.
The sway bar would be a quick fix (I had upgraded the one on my 03 RX-1).

In the FAQ section here I have the Mono shock set-up charts for the Kayaba Monoshock & says for 240 (equipped riding weight) that Clip 2 & Cam 5 is the right setting. The Standard setting is Clip 1 & Cam 4.. Thus Clip 1 & Cam 7 would look like Max hardness & is for 210 lbs. "Apexallday!" might be on to something. The dealer, quite likely, has not taken the shock out for that part of the adjustment to move the Clip.
