Tach- anybody moved theirs yet?

Seeing how it is mounted, I can see it breaking when rolling the sled over. How did you move yours?

I removed my stock bracket fromt he riser, removed the gauge fromt he bracket, fli[ the bracket over, and mount the gauge on the bottom side of it. Then mount the bracket back onto the bars with the bracket upside down from the way it was originally.

That's how i did mine, works perfect

I just took the bolts out of mine and zip tied it for racing. Still in the stock location..if it rolls the ties will break before it smashes the pod.

I felt the same way about the rollover thing, that would come rite off, i moved mine below the bar riser, just made a copy of the factory bracket and made it bend the other way.

I like that. I want to relocate it, but I don't want it on the front side of the bars like everyone else has. I may try what you did.

i've got mine right in the headlight shroud...its awesome, already paid for itself when i had a lil accident

no man, it blows...we had about 6inches, and then it ALL left before xmas...now we have an inch...

and moving my speedometer just paid for itself again...once you go over center, there's no gettin it back lol

that was excactly what I was thinking. It doesn't come in the way in any way when you are riding?

not really, its pretty tucked up in front of the gas filler to so it doesnt get in the way .

What did you use to made the new bracket? I think I'm going relocate mine like that this weekend. I have some 18 gauge stainless I might use. Also, did you ahve to drill into the steering post to to mount it on that side?

You can probably flip the steering post around, to reuse the stock mounting points.

exactly. I just flipped the stock bar riser block, and the holes worked out great , i may have gone overboard on the bracket, mines 1/16" metal and i just traced the original out and made the hole for the wiring and used the rubber bushings from the original too, bent it to how it is now.plenty strong. did have to free up some wiring as they have it quite tight in the harness area.

haven't really looked into it yet, but you can't just flip the stock bracket around also?

hmm, i know theres a reason i didnt do that, i just cant remember why, i will have to go look at it again, to see why....
