Loose snow has far more to do with the skis than carbides. Snowtrackers on Yamaha MTX skis are a good combo that works well in loose snow and on hard pack.

I've just heard trackers aren't good in sugar....

I don't think its that the trackers are bad relative to other carbides in sugar, its more that they are worse relative to how good they work everywhere else. In loose/powder/sugar snow, the keel and ski matter more.

By design I don't think they're any worse than stockers......
