I noticed on the new SR Viper that it lists tall handlebars as a feature. For a trail sled why would you want tall handlebars? I thought for a trail sled you want to keep the handlebar lower? I'm just curious.

I personally do not low handle bars, they are harder to turn and it gives me a horrible pain between my shoulder blades after 75 miles. I raised my bars up 2" on my attak no more pain and easier to turn. They should offer a version of the sled with the Rox adjustable riser and then most everyone would be happy.

I have a PowerMadd 325 2" pivot adapter on my Phazer and I can't decide whether I like it or not.

Well the bars are quite high on the Phazer in stock form. Thats what I like about the Phazer, my knees never come close to the bars, as it did on my 96 Vmax.

I'm only 5' 11" but I have to bend over when standing to hold the bars.

I have added the 2.5" Powermadd Pivot to both my Phazer and Apex. It allows me to stand without bending.
The side benefit is that the bars seem to be at a good height for trail riding as well. You do use different muscles when higher, and that's not a bad thing. It does make it more difficult to see the guages.
The benefit of being more universal for the ditches is worth it for me. Adjustable would be ideal.

us too
We have a few riders that purchased the original Apex Mountain sled riser for our trail machines. When you stand, you dont have to arch your back and it makes it easier in cornering as well. Still has the manufacturers original look too and it is cheaper than any extension that you can get put on.
I think I paid 85 bucks with shipping for my riser and its one of the best spends on my sled! Plus you dont have to change any cables. I did have to take my throttle cable out of the U clamp though.

I put a riser on mine to make it easier to stand up for aggressive riding. I was concerned that the higher bars would make it harder to handle on the trail but it is actually easier to corner now and much easier on the back and sholders

+5" on my Attak and Apex XTX. Some have laughed, but I don't care lol. At 6'3" I LOVE having the ability to stand when I want to. And when seated, my hands are just below my pecs. Better leverage using my shoulders and trunk when turning. And more leverage when I need it. On the XTX, I rerouted park brake, brake line, and throttle cable. With some modest creativity, it WORKS! Running Lake Effacts on the XTX and will be converting the Attak from a Rox adjustable to Lake Effect over the summer.

My nytro is 4" taller. It is needed when you go from sitting to standing in the mogules IMO. Easier to sand in the bumps then to abuse the kidneys

Good to hear as I was actually concerned about that too.

I like my bars higher, easy transition from sitting to standing.

I'm 5'8 but only if I'm standing and all day long!
I think my bars are 4" higher and about 2" farther ahead

I was just thinking of adding the MNT riser like some have done in here?
I figure the extra 2 inches of height might be perfect for me as all I do is trail ride.
Thanks for the info

I added the MTN riser to my Apex and it was a real nice height. I'm only 5'9. Had to use the MTN throttle cable as well but no big deal.
