Why did you have to use the MTN cable Phazernut, I heard going 2 inches up in height is ok as long as you verify and re-route the cable to a less restrictive area?
I have read on here a number of times that going to a 2" rise, no other mods etc are required?

Lake Effect 2.5" riser generally works on Yammi's without requiring new cables. May need a cable re-route.

I see a lot of risers out there and very little padding on them. Last weekend a 36 year old man was standing while riding on Tug Hill with his dad and son following him. They were traveling about 30mph when the fellow looked back over his shoulder to see where his dad and son were. For some reason the skis snapped hard one way and he slamed his chest into the riser. He fractured multiple ribs that punctured his heart and lungs. He died on the trail in front of his dad and 4 year old son. My point of this is before risers got big and tall most all sleds had pretty good padding on the handlebars and this important safty item has become minamal.

A horrible story for sure, but the safety product that would have saved him isn't a 1/2 inch of crappy padding on the bar/riser, it is a Tek Vest. Yup, tekvest.
I still have the factory pad on my Apex after installing the riser. But i'm sure it would hurt to slam into it at any speed.

2" madd no routing, no cable ext , works great and all my old padding still fits I'm 5'10" works for me. Some trails get really rough and i like to stand for a while.
