Does anyone know if it would be effective to install a taller secondary clutch to gain higher top speed ?
The engine in these vipers seem to have plenty of low end power to spare, or would just changing gears produce the same effect ? . Just looking to hit the c-note without breaking the bank. A quick secondary and belt change just seems like an obvious fix for the lack of top end speed , also is there such a thing in existence already ?

Only taller clutch I know about is a bearcat Cat clutch and you would have to change the secondary shaft.

Problem with the vipers is the clutching and ECU limitations... along with a restrictive muffler.

Well the belt starts at the top of the secondary so going larger would add more low end not top end getting taller gears is much cheaper than screwing with a secondary and machining overdrive into the primary is ok if you have the power of the turbo but at 135 ish stock hp you do not have the torque to get full shift out.

It is simpler and cheaper to make sure your clutches are achieving full shift out and then change gearing. Several guys like bleedyamaha have just a few power adders, proper clutching and new gearing and are seeing 105 to 107 top mph which is almost on par with the 160 ish hp Apex after you adjust for lousy dream-o-meter.
