Tear down time!!!

Ohhh
I read it.... get a shaft, clutch whatever... put it in and ride !!!
Lol
You gave me the kick in the a$$ I needed....hahahahah

I just came across used clutch and shaft but now I am Questioning our season ( +5*c all next week and rain)
Do these have a different spline than the Winders?
No they are different

The next weak link?
Let us know what shaft you upgrade to.

The next weak link?
This is a cat jackshaft imo yamaha's spline looks like a better option

This was partially my fault...
I was attempting to try and make my new stm 3wsp primary clutch to work with oem team secondary.
The oem team secondary does not have a belt deflection adjustment due to the roller bearing on the shaft of the primary to run a really tight belt.
I bought a adjuster bolt and drilled and tapped a hole for deflection in the same location as previous cat oem secondaries.
Sled was running awsome for 1000km and was loving the primary it really gripped the belt....
The next weekend got together with some good friends for a ride and we got on a lake and start racing our sleds back and forth on the lake on our 300 header tunes.. my sled was working awsome. We continued ride and I had a slight vibration (thought is was from the added studs to outside of track....) we kept going everthing was fine. The last day we rode i launched my sled and when I landed I knew right away I f#%ked it so I turn back.
Found a used secondary locally a few days later on I was back on the trail. In my head I said I was going to take it easy because I knew the spline on the shaft was buggered a bit.
Well here goes Marc acting like a 21 year old again... and I launched Off another knoll and landed and stripped her good ...lol

Something I overlookedwhen I looking at options with oem secondary was the fact that the spline on the oem cat secondary is only casted in the aluminum and not a steel spline insert.

Getter fixed! Only going to be warm for a couple days then snow and cold next week!

Cochrane here we come!!
When ?
I trailered up to Sudbury yesterday .
Went for a ride and then hooked up with DMC Turbo , on Whitson lake , where they were doing radar runs .
OMG those sleds are amazing and fast .
Most all tuned sleds there were Yammies or had a Yamaha engine .
Those guys change clutches / springs and weights like most people change their mind !
Great to meet another TY'er I have been PM 'ing for awhile .
He checked over my primary and let me know what work needed to be done to get more rpms.
I have a little maintenance to do this week , to be ready for the last / next 3 weeks or so of the season.
Chase the snow !
I will definitely be heading farther north , so would love to hook up with other TY'ers !

Met a bunch of great guys here on ty over the years and i have become friends with all of them!! So great to learn from and share knowledge with other sled heads..
Always up for meeting ty members and riding..
If I get lucky my sled will be good to go as soon as i get parts and clutch..
I will definitely try to plan a ty ride in northern Ontario if guys are up for it next season...

How is that 3wsp primary from stm? This is the new one, How long have you had it I’m on the fence about purchasing one ,worried about harmonics,

It works real well only got 2000km on it.. it is noisy but it's a solid clutch!
