Just ordered a Polaris freestyle Tekvest off of ebay. Any pluses or minuses to this style, or brand of vest? Mostly trail riding, and agressive a lot of the time in the twist and turns. Saw there was a lot of types and options out there, but for around $150.00 SHIPPED brand new; thought it was a great deal. Have you guys had to change Jacket sizes for something like this, or are you not using a layer, or liner? First time with one of these, and thought with the new boost it was a wise investment. Thanks for the input ;)!

That vest looks exactly like my Tek-Vest. I did not have to adjust jacket size at all. I was able to shed my middle layer and now only wear a thin layer, tek-vest, and FXR jacket. Always warm no matter how cold outside.

By the way, you don't even notice when riding. ;)!

Great investment I have been through three tek vests every single one of them was worth it!!!!

One was stolen two were to damaged in crashes to wear again

Is there any major differneces besides the name brands? So many look almost the same.

There are some differences HP chassis how they corner ext.

The new F5 is cats factory race sled with a 500 motor in it its a proven chassis.

Looks exactly like mine and I bought it right from the Tekrider at the Big East show. Wouldnt ride with out mine now as its just second nature to throw it on, dont even notice it. I am pretty sure they all come from Tekrider.com they just sell them to the OEM's so they can brand them. I would think the race one would be the best for super aggressive riding but this vest is a good compromise for weight and protection I think.

some tek vests have solid front plate v.s zip up.

solid front may offer more sternum protection than a zippered unit with the flexing taking place in the critical area. just my .02 ski

I've found the one I want...
