The (i) indicator light and temp warning icon was coming on while riding yesterday. I stopped and checked coolant, it was fine. It went off after a few miles. After stopping for an hour or so, and then riding again for some miles, it came back on, then went off again after a few miles. Temp was about 25 degrees F, but snow was very thin, trails were hard packed, ice....

This temp issue has never happened riding this winter until now, is it something to worry about? The sled did not shut off and ran great.

It was overheating. In low snow (trails were hard packed, ice....)they overheat .I put snow and ice on the heat exchangers (under your feet)when in those conditions .And the light comes on when the engine temp is 190 degrees.Watch your sliders they will burn quicker.

Thanks

That makes sense, thank you. I'm new to 4-strokes, so now I know.

We were trying to stretch the season, one last ride I guess...
