Well I added a K&N filter to the Grizz on sunday.
The results were better than I expected. On a "loose" gravel road with a slight
uphill grade I ran my Grizz w/stock filter & w/K&N filter twice.
1/2 mile: stock filter 59 mph
stock filter 60 mph
K&N filter 62 mph
K&N filter 62 mph
That's 2+ mph with the K&N
Machine runs snappier!
MODS: HMF ECO slip on exhaust; dalton pink clutch spring; 25" MUD LITES on c-series 4 ITP black rims; K&N filter (stock jetting)

With regards to mounting the rear (main) part of the exhaust, HMF supplies a bolt that replaces your stock bolt. Tom (Mr Sled) has had some problems with this bolt. It loosens up by itself. I highly recommend adding some rubber to the slot on the exhaust or anywhere you can to keep this bolt secure. Perhaps a lock nut would do it, but I would feel more comfortable with a rubber grommet...BBY

Yes, Matt is correct I had the pipe fall off 2 times running hard on the trails. My fix was a rubber washers and I drill out the stock mount and through bolted it with a lock nut.

dknarnd, I've have not checked the plug yet. But I will take a look at it next weekend. I've only put on around 5 miles with the K&N.
been working to much on home improvements.
I also took a look at the mounting bolt on the ECO slip on and it
is tight as can be with over 100 miles. Think I'll add a lockwasher
just to be safe. Is the bolt long enough to add a lookwasher???

I just put some blue lock-tite on my exhaust bolt. It stays tight and the threads will never corrode with that stuff on them. As far as a plug check, mine is running a little lean so I'm going to put on a K&N and then do my tuning.

It is louder than stock, but not to the point of obnoxious. Its a bit more throaty/crisp sound...BBY
