Thanks guys for all of your Apex help. Trading for a new Viper

Guys,

After 8 years and 9600 miles of trouble free riding it was finally time for me to retire the '07 Apex GT. It was a great ride and you guys have been so helpful over the years with getting my Apex dialed in.

This week I will be trading the Apex in on a new 2015 Viper RTX DX. I am excited about the chassis but a little concerned that I will miss the Apex power. If I feel that it is underpowered I have already budgeted for the turbo.

So thanks again for all the Apex help over the years. I will most likely not be posting here anymore but will continue to post in the general forum and of course in the Viper forum.

Bring on the snow!

I too have an 07 Apex RTX. I have sold the wifes 06 Nytro RTX. She will get my Apex. I am torn on what to buy . Why did you decide to go with the Viper and not an APex with power steering? Or even and Apex XTX. Thoughts?

I wanted to try the new chassis and suspension that I have heard is much better than the Apex. I have yet to ride my Viper so I can not comment on that yet. I had my Apex dialed in and I thought that it was a great trail sled, especially on the railroad grades and lake trails where I could really stretch her legs.

However most of my trail riding is on tight twisty trails that I think the Viper will handle better than an Apex. If I miss the power and top end of the Apex I have budgeted for a turbo However I want to put some miles on the stock Viper first to establish a baseline in my mind of the performance and to break in the motor before possibly adding the turbo.

I guess the main reason is that I wanted to try something new. I will update this thread after I have put some miles on the Viper to let you guys know how I like it compared to my Apex. Now we just need some snow! Bring on winter!
