Got some small hesitation at take-off (i dont know the english word, but sound like too much fuel) but clear up in the first half second, got some backfire when letting of quickly like last time, but run really clean on top end, no hesitation, variation, nothing, run perfectly.
I put a stiffer spring, to raise the rpm. New belt, and helix at 3-3. Got 10500 then drop to 10200 and stay there. The sled really seam to rush forward at 10200.
I ran many time with the Same summit than in the Video. his holeshot is always better, but that last only 25 feets, i had to let off the gas 3 times to let him catch me up, and, the third time, we stay side by side. Same top speed, but acceleration is a no contest. With tested on hard pack and in about 1 feet and half of powder.
Then, i could honestly tell you that ECP and SIngle pipe work awesome.
Damn, i need to put that sled on a dyno to know where he make most power, but seems 10000 to 10200.
I have stock plug, 170 main jets, and needle at stock position( never raised) and fuel screw at 2 turn. Evac (not fully fonctionnal yet)

Jeff,
Glad to hear you are enjoying my Air Kits. Put some CR10EK NGK sparkplugs in and get another 1 to 2 HP everywhere in the powerband. The addition of an evac will get you another 2 to 3 HP everywhere as well.I know is is a bit of a haul from Quebec to Canada, but I will give you the good guy price on some dyno work here at ECP. Putting the air/fuel guage on your spled will allow us to completely fine tune it about as perfect as it will get. Call me at : (203)756-7019 to set an appointment if you are interested in doing this. A Saturday would be best for me.

i would like too, but its a 12 hours ride. 950 km, too far, but i know that would be a good thing, since you know exactly what the Kit is supposed do.
I could give some more information.
today, Still -25 ° and less but in higher altitude. 2000 + feets. (not very high, but pressure is always lower than normal in this area.
Sled ran too rich , and been worst more the day goes. The Pre filter were icing. With my Home made Evac kit, am unable to remove the pre filter to clean them.
I will go back with 165 main Jets. And try for there. Am seraching a way to stop the freezing. But those Rx-1 hood are like Suisse Cheeze, snow enter every where, there a lot of hole. At the end of the day, if i goes WOT, the motor was dying. I was only able to go 3/4 throttle. (still a lot of power to spare for the return to the truck, but embarrassing during the last lake drag race)

i also for got to moention, mine burbled like crazy when it was lien on the bottom, since i am in 4 clip position, there is absolutely no burble at all, smoothg. i installed ecp on my buddys sled with stock exhaust and it runs like a top in stock position. what i am so surprised about now is how little throttle push it takes to drive now at a cruising speed. barely pushing on it, compared to before.i think my milage is up to

Tundra,
I know kind of defeats the purpose but for deep snow conditions, you could always duct tape off the vents in the hood. Or maybe buy some coarse foam is sheets from UNI-Filter and glous to the inside of each vent. The HV-350 from Valco-Cincinatti that I sell with the ECP Velocity Rongs will work well for that application. Buy the Red foam as it is the coarsest and will not totaly diminish air flow.
Let me know what you think.

I tryed duct taping the vent, but that kill the air flow, last year i tryed furnace filter, work relatively well, but ice too quickly and stop the airflow.
I dont know the product you talk about, i was thinking to try a product like outawear, but i dont know how to find something like this. i know SLP sell them, but they cost the total . What the product you talk look like ?
Sure i will put some glued foam all over the hood edge. I also need a way to make the water and snow that run from over the rubber flap over the carb goes somewhere else. Like am installed, the water run over the filter and froze there.
Also, if i can install ECP in some other way that i can remove quickly the prefilter to clean them, that would be awesome.

Tundra,
Just remove the evac elbows and remove the pre-filters and shake them out. The rubber grommets are easy enough to allow the elbows to go back in.

Take some thick (1/4" to 3/8") weatherstiping tape and stick it on the very front nose of your hood. Then when you close your hood it will seal against the metal plate one the very front of the sled and you will not get much (if any) snow inside the very nose of your sled. I actually put two strips if the weather stiping and had absolultely no snow in there this past weekend.
I also use the furnace filter material or window screen material over the hood vent holes. Yes, they plug up from time to time but I haven't found anything that will let airflow through when deep snow was covering the vent.
Good luck

Frosty-- did you get your glasspack yet? Have you figured out the burbble?
What kind of temps was it doing it at?
