Hey guy's got a good ole venture 600 tripple 2 smoke and found the ground wire that bolt's onto the chassis melted all the way into the stator. i changed the harness and coil's cdi box and have no spark to faint spark on all 3 some times good blue sparks in need of help here fellas.still winter up here in AK would like to ride it for a good month before snow s all gone.

Anyways, my ground wire going over the fuel tank hoop, ending up on pto side was entirely melted. The ground wire going from the stator to the plug was also burned, nothing else after the plug.
The only thing weird happen to my sled was that I put in my dry cell Attak battery into my venture and since the pos and neg spots are reveresed, the pos wire had enough room to twirl around and arc on the pipe. I think its likely that this arcing caused an overload to my ground, burning it all out. In the process of changing that out now...
Anyways, check your hoop wire, and all the wires under the motor, the liquids have more rub through problems than my 500 fan. Dont be modest either, Iv done ths before on other models, pull the pipes and disconnect the wires, youll find something! My latest find was a 2001 SRX, small rub through near chaincase!
