Anone use this or have an opinion on it? Lot's of talk about it on Outboard,MotorCycle forums..

I worked for a Yami Outboard dealer and marina and he put it in his undergound fuel tank..The customers didn't have a choice.

He claimed he was getting problems from the new fuels.

Snake oil?

My brother, who is a certified Yamaha marine mechanic, says he has seen the "shock" treatment do wonders on leakdown testing on an outboard engine. I only use it because every so often he will come home with a bottle from the shop.

It's all snake oil.

nice reply got anything to back this up? why do people post if they have no relevant information to back up their words?

I too have see it work in a compression/leek down test. So I will say that it works weather or not it cures all problems I dont know but in the application I saw it used in it worked.

Sorry to sound ignorant but could somebody tell me what this stuff is and what it is supposed to do?

Thanks,
PH

This stuff will dissolve carbon based goo, gum, traces in combustion chamber, valve seats.
It is good to use in my 1700cc RoadStar once in a while to quiet down the train and prevent the 'sticky valve syndrome' prone to these engines. Those are untunable throught the whole range and need a little kick once in a while..... nothing to do with the Genesis tech, which IMO should never see this non drinkable stuff.

My RX started to use a bit of oil. Did a Ring Free "Shock Treatment," and the oil consumption stopped. I also use a small amount of Ring Free in every tank of fuel. The pipes have cleaned right up. No more black soot in the pipe tips. The plugs also remain carbon free after three years of use. A nice chocolate brown. The stuff works.
