Anybody know if this suspension is as easy to install on the machine as they claim or as it looks? Appears to be a good substitute for M10 would like info from anybody who has installed one.
Bolts right into the stock location, my buddy CM has 1, he said it does what they claim in the snow.

Look like I will have to consider this too... my stock apex mtn suspension doesnt seems to cut it with 174" and 300+ hp.
it will take 4 hours...and it is WELL worth it!!!!!
HIGHLY recommend... Allen is a GREAT guy!
You will have to cut a part for the new bracket, but it saves soooo much weight on this kit, you will be SHOCKED!!!!

Weight is not priority (at least for me) but the ability to maintain track and sled stability under power is what concerns me.

If I remember correct there was a topic on SW that said there will be released an upgraded version with 2 fox floats in the back for big boost sleds.

My stock suspension has two major problems with big hp and traction:
1-Way too much transfer... can I say out of control weight transfer.
2-Track movement not controlled... Peoples watching me on WOT hillclim passes told me the track keeps bouncing in and out of snow while the sled it still pretty stable... maybe too weak shocks?
All this conspirate to keep this poor tpex spinning and spinning foreever.... big track speed number... but not climbing like it should.
4strokes are better than2

they work great not quite a m-10 but impressive

Hey Bro,
How are things in Ft Mac?? Still as crazy and busy as always? I live in Spokane now but I am from Grande Prairie.
I have the 08 Nytro and I just put the Mountain Tamer on it. Absolutely my first skid job I have ever done and with 2 calls to Allen at Timbersled it took my 2 1/2 hours.
With the drop down brackets my rear sits about 2 inches higher than stock. I went 150 on the rear shock and 95 on the front. You can have Allen re-valve them for more air. I run the 1 inch shims. I love the stiffer ride and the fact my rear end and runners are up out of the snow.
It is a great set up.
Good luck

How does it handle in the big bumps and on trails?

It will bolt directly in the stock location in the tunnel. You will have to drill some holes in your rails for the rear slide mechanism and the rear shock cross shafts. very easy to do. the Key here is NO BEER!! or minimal if its a must have. they ride height is the most important measureement. You have to be dead nuts on. I have played around with the shock location and the further forward/vertical the stiffer the suspension gets. if you are a bigger guy and want it a bit stiffer i'd say move the shocl cross shaft forward 3/8 of an inch but mount the rear slide so your ride height is exactly what alan specs in the instructions. I have my shocks revalved for my weight and I loved it.

Thanks for all the replies good stuff on install times. Fort Mac is still just as crazy as always, going into my fifth year here and keeps getting crazyer by the day. What do you mean by re-valveing the shocks?? I am a really big guy so stiffer the better. Also going to dial it up to 18psi for next year so more transfer. Considered an M-10 but i've heared these timbersleds are adjustable enough and cheaper.
define BIG guy...I am 250...plus gear, and dont need stiffer valving...
you will love this suspension, but before ordering, since youa re bossted, you might ask Allen about the turbo mtn tamer one he is working on...as osmoene entioend it is two floats in back....
I LOVE how tunable this suispension is, and it helps you DRAMATICALLY while climbing!!!!

Alen reccomends that anyone that weighs in over 200 lbs have the rear shock be revalved to his specs. He may farm it out to carver performance, who he highly reccomends. I am 350 in my riding gear. I had some issues with my ride height, it was 3/8 short. I was trying to use a hole that was very close to the one the susp. specs out. but it wouldnt cut it. it bottumed out badly!!!!! As soon as i figured out what was going on. I moved the slide shft forward 3/4 and the shock 1 " and couldnt believe the difference. I think it changes the leverage on the shock and makes to stiffer the farther forward. It is very similiar to the rear shock on the M10, move it forward, it gets stiffer. I think his locations if you follow them to a T, you will just enjoy his skid.. I have seen a new rear arm that has some gussets for the big boys that ride apexes, thats the one I'd be asking for.
