Reasoning for more cca's?
If your battery is just old and tired, perhaps a new one will do what you expect anyways, even if it is the same model number.

I just installed my ytz10s with 145 cca. I feel pretty sure even this battery will work in any temp.

Had a few times last year when it barely cranked over and once i had to boost it (when it drops below -20). So i thought if im replacing the battery anyways why not get more cca's pretty sure its not going to hurt anything
X3, my cheap 10 has fired my sled at -35. The engine was crabby, the battery wasn't.

I would agree with the others a new battery would be better than your old one. If I remember correctly last year when I replaced mine with an Interstate there were two options. 270 CCA and 310 CCA.

Read up on Odyssey batteries...in your case the PC545 will fit your Nytro. It apparently provides 545 cranking amps for 5 seconds...more than enough to start your sled. A little pricy, but apparently a solid battery...has great reviews on Amazon.com
