Well after 8200 miles of relatively worry free riding on my 07 Attak GT its time to do some upgrades. I knew I would need the shock revalved. When I pulled the skid out I noticed the front pivot arm broken. I pulled it in half with much trouble. I am looking a the beef up kit rather that weld it so I don't have to worry about it. I am also looking at hygear revalve and spring. I hear it is a much better ride than stock.
I jacked the front end up and there is play in the steering and the front arms. Do I need a bushing kit and if so is one any better that another?
Thanks to a lot of you guys I can do most of my own work and after 6 yeas with it I guess I can spend a little money on her.

I just did all of this also....Bought a sled at the end of last year for cheap and redid pretty much everything on it. Front bushings, skid bushings, extended it, shock revalve and bigger spring...I used all pioneer performance stuff but he is gone now. Ulmer Racing sells the Oilite bushings. I think I would probably do that. The skid also has the same type bushings and I'd do those while its out. I also powder coated my arms...Beef up kit is a great idea. Mine wasn't bad so I'm running it. Hit up Travis from barn of parts for the beef up kit. Do yourself a favor and drill the rivits on the front rail caps and reinstall with a little silicone and bolts so they don't rattle all over. I also did the bogey wheel lowering kit while it was out. Here is my skid I just finished. Its not hard just time consuming! Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.

Looks great! I'd recommend a 4th wheel for the rear axle while you are at it.

Be sure to inspect your rails for stress cracks where the rear arm bolts to the rail. The 136 mono rails fail quite frequently there. You can see pics on my website under the rail saver in the menu.
In front end check your bulkhead bushings. At 8200 miles I doubt there is much bushing left yet. Once they are gone the steel bolt eggs the holes in the bulkhead.
We also offer multi rate big boy springs for the mono shock.

Just got my progressive spring from hibshman25. Can't wait to try it.
Wow. That skid looks awesome. The blue wheels make it jump out. The barn of parts beef up kit is the one I was looking at. Seems like a reasonable price. I plan on hanging on to it for a few more years so I might as well do what needs to be done to it. It is time consuming but better than paying all those hours in labor. Yeah. It's really not that much work but it sure is nice when you get done and step back and can look at what you did! It's a good feeling!

X2 on the 4th wheel. All you have to buy is a wheel and take the time to cut down the longer tube spacer.
If you lose the outside left wheel you can limp home. If you lose the right one at speed, kiss the track goodbye and maybe yourself too.
One year I lost the left one and had no idea it was gone until a trail stop; we had been riding hard too. Able to ride about 30 miles back to a dealer and a new wheel. Glad I didn't lose the right one. All our sleds have 4 wheels now...

4th wheel sounds like a good idea. You guys are just using another stock wheel and cutting up the stock spacer yourself? Do they make a spacer kit already made to length?
