TY 4 Stroke Junkie
Hey all,
Been screwing with the timing on my Nytro after taking the head off to do some work. I got it all back together and timed it, and everything appears lined up an perfect. The manual states to have the cylinder closet to the cams at TDC on the compression stroke when lining everything up (using mark on crank and marks on cams and gears).
How do you know if the cylinder is on the compression stroke and not the exhaust stroke? I would have thought that with the cams out, all that matters is the cam / crank relationship?
Anyways, putting it all back together, I have spark in all cylinders, but will not start. It won't even hit using starting fluid, so it seems something is wrong. No codes when I turn on the key.
I am at a loss and need help. I have searched and saw people referencing that they had the timing 180 degrees out, but I am not sure how that is accomplished if the crank and cam marks are all lined up.
Thoughts / suggestions / help? I want to get this running so that I can take my kids for some rides before the snow melts.
