I ordered a new top gear for my '20 LE and this is what came. Bushing and gear have three oil passages lined up, drilled all the way through. I don't have my sled opened up yet so I don't know what my current bushing looks like. Only have ~500 miles on it, but I'm going to follow the Fleecer et al. method and just change it out each season anyway!

Still 21 teeth? Perhaps with your tune, you should upgrade to a 22T and get a little more speed to boot?
Just a thought.

Fleecer, thanks, I'm always open to suggestions. What are the pros and cons of going 22T? Will I lose anything on the bottom end (in the 20-80mph range)? Thanks.

Be sure to take a look- When I changed mine the new gear had plenty of filings in the hole , there were burrs also on the inside of the bushing.

That looks to be the newest gear drilled on an angle towards the outer edge of the bushing.

IMO, nothing to lose and all to gain. I think I recall seeing in a prior post you are at 330hp? If always at this level, and you run Ultimax belt, I would gear even higher than 22/41. Just my 5 cents......

Silly me, I thought this was what you were talking about when you said Top Gear pics... it's "The Stig" riding a snowmobile....
