for the guys that maybe alittle worried to tear into a rx1 engine its not that bad.just got done with a full rebuild, put 130 miles on this past weekend with no troubles.got some help from jim (lakercr) thru emails and phone calls and kris (srxguy) kept the beer flowing.if you can read a service manual, some posts on this site, ask some ?'s,loosen/tighten some nuts and bolts, you can rebuild one of these.not very hard just takes some time. :rocks:

thanks skydog, now if i can just get rid of the bottle and get something that required a boost gauge life would be good lol

I agree I was pleased at how easy it was as well. good work actually getting into the engine, I'm still scared to do that! Glad its running again!!

kinger after all your problems i hope it's along time before you have to get in that engine again.everything running ok?

Yep so far I have 30 miles ZERO issues in fact its never run so good (sync'd the carbs) I'm putting on 400 miles this week so it better hold then i will have some confidence

Nope no juice, too scared, just want to get 400 miles on with no issue, and I'm going to lower the shot to a 40-60, on the NX kits that is at the wheels so a 60 is still like a 71 hp or so on a sled. I'll ween my way into 80hp shot again. My race fuel is a year old and I'm worried about the condition of that.

Praying Ted's head tq procedure and factory studs was a smart move!
