I'm going to change the track and slides on my 03 RX-1 and wondered what else I should replace while it's apart. It has under 3000 miles and I am second owner so I don't know what the first guy did. I was thinking Jack Shaft bearing? Go easy, I'm on a budget!

I just did the same thing. I took the opportunity to replace the speedo/drive shaft bearing and the bearings on both sides of the jackshaft. While I was at it I put the locking jackshaft collar mod on it so the jackshaft can't walk out on it's own.

If your bearings look reasonable you might get away with just cleaning them and regreasing them.

Definitely do the drive shaft bearing (opposite the chain case). You will have it in your hand when you take out the drive shaft. It is one of the most abused bearings on the sled, because of its exposure to the elements and its lack of lubrication. No brainer change it.

Check W arm for cracks..

Bearing Part #'s

Anyone know the part #'s for the speedo/drive shaft bearings and the bearings on both sides of the jackshaft. What about the locking jackshaft collar mod.

Thanks

the jackshaft, just order the parts for an 04-05 rx1. they updated the bearing and coller on these. there is a parts fiche link on the ty homepage at the bottom of the left column.
