For those that have or are clipping their own track what tool are you using? I have just purchased some clips and I am missing several clips on my track. I now need to buy a tool and want to get a good one that actually works.

Got my tool though Marshall Dist. Or Parts Unlimited has them too....but you will have to go to dealer or on E-Bay.....
But get a good one the cheep ones won't last at all....won't even finish the track and it will be junk.....

Call Tracks USA. They have a track clip tool that looks like bolt cutters. I've never used them personally, but I hear they're the best.

The bolt cutter one I have heard does work northernsledder.jk. I see for sell on e-bay from a guy here in Michigan. Was thinking of buying that one.

09nytro which one do you have?? Bolt cutter design or the guillotine style. I hear the guillotine style will not work with the camo track.

The bolt cutter style worked well for me, see if your dealer has one you can barrow....might be nice enough to let you use it

That's the first time I've ever read about someone not being happy with the Tracks USA tool. I've never had a bad experience with any of their products ; they have an outstanding reputation.

I have the Kimpex lever type (or bolt cutter looking) tool that I've had for years. Used it a lot on my old Safari and then on my MP to fully clip the track. No problem at all.

I have installed at least 100 clips with this tool and never had a problem with it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Snowmobile-Trac ... 468wt_1399

I'm gonna order this. I am using my buddies Bolt cutter style clipper tool and it is difficult to get them tight. They wobble on the track.

His brother has a shop in Gaylord Michigan and has the pneumatic tool. It has had it's problems. It also had a hard time getting the clips tight. His brother did say the company has made changes and it works better. I just wish I could borrow it for about a week.

The bolt cutter type you have to know how to use it (and it doesn't come with instructions). It's a two step process. It's hard to explain it in writing.
