I installed my 1in full clip track tonight. When I pulled out my old one and looked at it I lost almost 75% of my clips. I just want to know why this happened with 2300 miles and the track. 1 side of track only had 1 clip left.

I could be from the hyfax melting from low snow conditions. Then when you stop the hyfax cool and the clips get stuck to the hyfax. When you take off again it can rip the clips right off the track.

I did forget to tell you guys that my hyfaxes were the worsted looking hyfaxes I ever changed. As for marginal snow, well I do live in s.e. wi. and we have the most snow I seen since 2000 this early in the year and are trails are closed till dec 10th.

Apex GT Rick - take a close look at the plastic guides at the front of your slide rails (the caps just in front of the hyfax) - lately we have seen quite a few of these become very loose (held on by one rivet) and then when the track comes around they don't properly guide the track onto the hyfax and the track clips then contact the front edge of the hyfax and get sheared off of the track. You will notice scratch marks on the front edge of the hyfax where the clips have been hitting. After either replacing or resecuring this guide the clip loss problem goes away.
