should i clip the holes when cut out, or just leave them? I seem to think that having clips will reduce rolling resistance, pretty important for maintaining track speed..
what are you using to cut your tracks for the extroverts or antiratchets?

From what I've read, clipping every hole is not nessissary. The biggest advantage to fully clipping a track is longer slider wear (you'd think this should decrease rolling resistance). The big disadvantage to fully clipping is that you are adding rotating mass (and this is a big no-no).
I've heard that guys cut the holes out with a sharp knife, but if I was doing it, I send the track to one of the companies that advertises punching radiused holes.

Clipping the track
If you are going to install extroverts, yes you should clip everyone.

was told by an expert to leave the cut out holes unclipped. He also told me to buy a Roto Zip tool to cut them out. It worked great. XVery east to cut, did the whole 152" track in 1/2 hour. Smoked up the shop a little.

Treewacker,
1/. Elaborate on the rotozip, what bit did you use and how many of
them did you spoil.
2/. You said not to clip the ones you cut and why not? Would'nt this
cause drag on the hyfax (heat )
3/. Where did you get your extraverts and are they a combinations
of interverts & extraverts?
4/. How many miles since you done yours and how lose do you have
track.
5/. Lastly do you have any ratcheting now.
Maybe this is the way to go instead of buying a new track
Thanks TB
