Someone installed these on a 06 Yamaha(from 05 model) can't remember who. Any changes to make to get them to fit an 06 attak??Thanx.

I put a set for an 05 on my Apex ER. 1st, you need to flatten the points sticking up on the tunnel. The right side then fits nicely. The left side is somewhat of an issue. Because of the new support around the shock adjuster on the ER I had to space the bracket off the tunnel. I used some stainless fender washers, glued them to the bracket to help hold them in place. That keeps the braket off the tunnel to match the support plate. Another issue, I cannot take the adjuster off without removing the brakets 1st, if I ever need t do that. Overall result looks good, not at all cobbed. But it was more than I expected, I was led to beleive it was a simple fit.

Thanx I bought a set and I know what your talking about,but I think I will put them on anyway,no big deal and they look o.k.
Put them on my Attak just like what sk-rx1 said ....

If you are installing traction brackets on the 06 Apex/Attak sleds be sure to get the 05 RX-1 Mono style brackets - Part number -SMA-8FY57-50-BL for blue or SMA-8FY57-50-BK for black. These have a cut out area for the dial adjuster to fit and have the cut-outs to fit around the mounting points for the Mono-shock skid. Here are a couple photos of what they look like installed on an Attak.

I was the 1st one to put them on my Attak. I did not use the washers, to keep them spaced, but had to tap the inside 4 diamond like traction openings. I like to ride up on my sled, and do off trail and some jumping, so I was going to make them work. I think the pictures shown are mine that port-parts posted, cause we took a set out of the package, and put them on a show model Attak at Novi. My bracket for the monoshock does push out the traction bracket a little, but was going to have them on anyway.
