Went to the dealer with my buddy today to put money down for new sleds and I'm still in shock. They only giving me $7600 on my viper with 2100 miles and buddy with his 2012 xf 1100 with 2000 miles got his quoted for $7000. Are they trying to rip me of? If not best resale value my FREAKING #*$&@ YAMAHA!

Also my other riding friend who buys new skidoos every year and says he doesn't even loose $2000 on them, even with the different tracks and accessories he gets with it?

That's crazy! I got 8500 for my 2011 Nytro XTX with 7000+ miles. It did have a lot done to it. But still. I'm thinking about selling mine too. Wonder what I'll get??

Perhaps look for another dealer, your sled is fairly new, you are better off selling it private. Honestly I do not see any brand giving you what you want when it is that new.

I'm speechless! I ordered 2015 mxz xrs in black w/electric start, 3 year engine warranty could've opted for 4th year instead of $250 rebate, but not planning on keeping it that long for $13200+change. For the money I'm loosing on my viper that A LOT OF OIL AND BELTS FOR SKIDOO if you ask me. I feel violated.

I guess it depends if he is giving you the new sled at cost. I just got a quote of $8,500 trade in on my 2013 Polaris Pro R 800 with 1600 miles on it and it only cost $10,300 new last year. and a price of $11,444 for 2015 PRO X 800 switchback wich is $ 2k off MSRP.

Well spring order you get 1000 off msrp so the dealer basically not making jack on it.

Dealers never give you what something is worth. It's not Yamahas fault. As was said previously you are better off selling it on your own.

Oh I'm not trading it. It's just 2014 sled to them is worth 7600 and and beat up belt eating 2012 cat is worth 7000.

FYI I've been looking at used sleds the last couple weeks. Ski-doo's have insanely high resale. 4 Year old 800 Etec's going for 9-10K.
I can buy a brand new hold over Apex for that much!

Good for me than. I'll beat the crap out of mine for 2 years and still get $10000k for it. Lol

Well here you don't pay sales tax on the trade in portion so thats like getting $8151 which is not great but better.

Well I got a really good number for mine. So I have to decide what I want to do. Love the Viper, but would like something with coil shocks with clickers. And a easier way to take the hood off. Or I might keep it as a second sled. And trade the Vector. And I got a great number for that in trade as well. So I'm pretty happy with that. Thinking about maybe a two stroke. And trade it in every two years. Who knows...for sure I need something lighter for my wife as she likes to do more stuff and the Vector just is not capable. So I want a different sled for her!

maybe he quoted you low because he didnt want your sled..dont take it personal..The dealer might have new units in stock coming due on his floorplan, so he would want to move those first to not have to pay interest..plus end of season, he might not want to tie up $7600 for the next 7 months which he could use to make payments on his floorplan for unsold leftover units..I bet you go back to him November it would be a different story..
