Well speak of the devil, Just got dumped on with one of the biggest snows of season, go to start my viper and the muffler got a crack in it. Taking it to dealer tomorrow, who knows how long it will take them to fix it, snow will probably be gone by then.

No good! I don't want to see a picture of your misfortune! I had my share of shop time this year as well. Hope they get you out there quick!

"YamahaTim"]At the end of the day, they all break or have certain problems. Sometimes I get better Fula mileage the the other 800's and sometimes I don't. Either way this is not a cheap sport. And we will never be happy!
I always want the latest and greatest sleds and have been through several. Something about the 1049 that I love! Yes I have to put extra money in them to compete with 800's, but at the end of the day, the Yamaha always gets me home. Except one time. With the oil separator. I want to keep my Viper??? I would like to try one of those new Switchbacks though. And I have already ordered one. Should be fun. And they also have a bumper to bumper 4 year warranty. So with no mods this should be a great fun sled!"
I also would like to try a 2015 pro S Switchback 800 but am concerned about the reliability, here in Canada it comes with a 2 year warranty but you can buy an additional 3 years but have heard that it is limited to 3000 miles.I also love the 1049 and I really like my nitro especially after I put the tuner skis on it,will be keeping this sled even if I do order the Polaris.

I don't get why you wouldn't get the same warranty? It's 4 year bumper to bumper or 450 cash back and two year engine warranty, which I heard is not a polaris warranty, but a second party warranty?? Either way. I'm getting a 60th anniversary switchback pro X
And thinking about trading the vector on a S for my wife. Should be a fun sled I rode Yamadog's switchback Pro R switchback and it was a lot of fun! My dealer is real close and I have bought sleds from him before and there a great dealer! And have polaris cat and Yamaha! So I'm good!

I talked to the Polaris dealer today and it is 2 years or 3000 miles which ever comes first, and you can buy an additional 3 years for about $2500.00 (the more the MSRP the more the warranty is) this is for the pro S 800 switchback.I don't think I am going to bother with these sleds, this tells me that even Polaris doesn't trust them, and what do you do with it after the warranty is gone, nobody is going to want it.I'm sticking with fourstroke .

Its got nothing to do with Polaris not trusting them, you silly canucks!
Is simply an international thing, that's all.

Weird, cause my dealer said bumper to bumper for four years. Or a 450 cash back and a 2 year engine warranty. That's what I was told. And was the reason I got it. So if they said 4 years and I got in writing then I'm good! No worries cause I don't keep them any longer than two years anyway. My sled has spent 3 weeks in the shop, so I guess reliability is well not that great!
