In Ontario we have a website shows which trails are open: red , green and yellow status. Is there a similar thing in QC? I have found ac website that shows snow levels in the area and color codes the trails but nothing about status about availability.

Don’t believer there is. You can see trail status listed by Region but it doesn’t show up on a map. So if you don’t know where all the areas are geographically its hard to tell how far away open trails might be from your location. Definitely would be an improvement

You can go to http://www.abitibi-temiscamingue-tourism.org/snowmobile/trail-conditions/ to find the trail conditions for this region and they have a free app that can be downloaded to your smart phone that shows literally everything on the trail from gas, food, lodging, distance you name it or there is another app called IMotoneige that is downloadable for I think $3.99 is good for the whole province also link is available through https://fcmq.qc.ca/en/snowmobilers/imotoneige/ or the app store. I have a section of trail near my house that is all green for a 125 km but I'm in the middle of repairs but on holidays in 6 more days.

Your in for a treat. Ontario is in behind the times with their color status system from 1999. Useless.
For Quebec you have the phone app iMotoneige mentioned above or the website below. They can show you the last time the groomer passed in real time as they have gps tracking. Snow on the ground for a region is new this year. Lots of other options too.
