I too had the frozen lock problem. This year I invested in the Medeco G8R lock and have had zero problems. This lock is HEAVY DUTY and is totally sealed to the elements and requires zero maintenance.

It will be the last locks that I will ever buy.

where did you get it? Surely you didn't spend over 100$

how'd you get it shipped to canada?

I had it shipped to my US PO box and drove across and picked it up. But give them a call or email them, they are great to work with and I'm sure that they would ship direct to Canada.
