T-Nytro said:I though I was the only one that was having problems with the fit of the tank and the panels not fitting correctly. It just does not fit right. That was in August. I sold the tank and Seth gave me the difference I was out. You are having the same problems I was having. I could not compromise on the fit and finish that much. It was really good of Seth to refund me the difference though.
Yes, that was good of him. My conversation with him was in October. I was told that he knew of no one else having issues. I need the extra fuel, but am very concerned with the long term effects of rubbing on cooling lines, pulling on the fuel line and the snow ingestion I am going to have from the ill fitting hood. Very disapointed.

We have been doing our best to get these issues sorted out. We will replace tanks for the MTX guys. They will be ready in early December. I can understand the disappointment and frustration, but please imagine our situation. We are having to recast half our mold and replace a bunch of tanks. That is not how a business like ours survives. I am amazed at how desperate some guys are for the extra fuel on the Nytro after we did a review last week on a Nytro MTX. I am sorry they had to struggle so hard. Wish we would have caught it sooner.
I could go on and on, but the bottom line is we are going to take care of you guys as best we can. We appreciate patience and understanding. And look forward to improving the product for everyone. The fuel gauge sending unit issues were largely out of our control. The assembly in the 09 production unit had three suttle changes from the assembly we had for 08. The problems that caused with our tank are not so suttle.
We accept full responsibility for our errors.
Thanks.

Not too often you see a product manufacturer stand behind his product like Seth has, tells you a lot about their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Thanks for your feedback Seth, you've done well. Keep up the good work.

I agree!
I had problems installing my tank as it just wouldn't fit into place. My buddy had no problems at all. I think my issues were caused because I had cartwheeled my sled earlier in the season and my steering hoop was bent down. I've never verified this but it was a bit of a PITA to install my tank.
I've seldom had good experiences with aftermarket parts since they never seem to go together like OEM. I think Seth is doing a hell of a job trying to keep people happy! I've not seen another aftermarket manufacturer work as hard figure out the issues. I'm not sponsored by Trail Tank nor I've I talked to Seth. I just wanted to post some positive feedback that it is nice to see that he's acknowledged the issues with the 09's and is working to correct it. That's a big deal in the aftermarket parts world!

It was like an an early Christmas present to hear from Seth that they would be replacing my tank.
I can't say thanks enough.
I can't say thanks enough.
I received an email notice of the problems and solution late last night. This morning I saw Seth's post here and also received a PM from him appologizing for the situation. He is promising to replace my tank.
I too VERY much appreciate Seth's efforts to make me happy. It's not often that an aftermarket company goes this far to do the right thing!!

I had issues installing mine as well.
I give big props to Seth however. He was very helpful and sent out a heat shield right away.
Making something as intricate as a fuel tank and getting it to fit is quite a task.
Although I wish the mounting holes for the plastic lined up better, I am mostly happy with the end result.
Thanks Seth,
Reese Dickinson
