Transfer rod

After reading on this topic, I tried adjusting my transfer rod (06 Attak) and it is frozen or won't move. Do I have to take wieght off it or take the rod out to adjust??

Had my tranfer rod come loose last year at the end of the season, just about the time that I returned to my truck, but didn't notice it til I was checking over the suspension, when I discovered the rear bolt had fallen out. The problem was the suspension collapsed forward against the two inner boggie wheels and wedged itself against the rails. After I disassembled the arm mount at the rails I was able to free the arm from being wedged. It must have happened just at the end of that ride as the arm was resting against the boggie wheels, yet it only lightly scuffed the arm, so I wouldn't remove the tranfer rod as you may not be so lucky as I was to only scuff the arm. Replacing the tranfer rod as the old one was missing spacers, bearing and bolt, was able to pickup a used transfer rod assemble.

Get a punch and a hammer. Go at it, I had to do this with mine whenever I wanted to adjust it. I actually use the punch and hammer to tighten the jam nut too. Better safe than sorry.

Ranger not sure what year RTX you have but the 07-09 do not have a transfer rod.. only the mono spring suspensions... you you have to pro-active susoension you have very little adjustments and no transfer rod... just nuts on your back arm to adjust.

Oh ok, I thought the two rods with the adjuster nuts were the transfer rods.
All I knew is that there was no way those were coming out, lol!!
So I guess getting more transfer is not gonna happen as I already have the adjuster nuts all the way down & have the front limiter strap all the way out?
Thats too bad cause this sled has very little weight transfer.

Take it out. Lots of guys have been running without them for a few years and I havent heard of any suspension failures as a result of this.

I rode my sled without it for 1300 miles once.. I did have an issue where the rear arm got wedged between the rails thou because it wasnt in there..

IT makes the sled 100 times more fun without it thou.. LOL
