Just got my tuner skis the other day and I have a problem with them. The width of the ski saddle is almost 1/4" wider then the spindal. Before I got the skis I spoke with a Yamaha Rep at Snodeo and he said its an exact replacement. No other parts needed. I think it needs 1/8" bushings to make up the diff. Has anyone run into this issue and if so, how did you fix it.

Can you put a stainless washer in there?

I have done this with other skis, a washer will work fine.

I note the same thing. Will have to get washers as well

Aren't the saddles plastic? What happens if you just keep tightening the nut and bolt? Won't it pull the sides closer together? If it's too much, washers work, but 1/8 on each side doesn't seem too far to squeeze.

Tunner ski
I also bought the tuner ski for my 05 RX1. I also noticed the saddle being too wide. I just tightened the bolt and it drew the sides in just fine. The real problem is that the spindle does not set low enough in the ski to install the bolt. I had to remove the webbing in the bottom of the ski (cut out about a 1/2") to get the bolt in. I should have called the store that I bought them from to see what they thought, but I had to remove my old skis because I sold them so I made them work. I hope they work ok and stay together.
Hoping to get out next weekend and try them out.

Wow. You cut out a half-inch? That does seem like a lot. Hope the ski holds up for you.

Yes, me too.
I removed most of the webbing in the ski where your spindle sits on. It might be 1/4".
Any body else put the Tuner skis on there RX1?

I just put a set on my friend's 04 Rx1. Had to get the Apex bolts which are a little longer. Used the Apex rubber dampers and added a 1/4" shim under the back of the rubber. Getting the bolt in can test your patience, he got tot try them out and said they worked awesome 4"in, 2"out - no studs stock track.
