tunnel rack

thinking of making tunnel rack on my mtx plan to use 11/2 by 11/2 L channel aluminum to go around tunnel and drill hole around about 2" apart to hoo bugees or other tie down straps . Has anyone else done this or have any other suggestions to share? thanks

I think that is a good idea, don't forget an exhaust turnout.

I bought a real slick rack from Arctic Cat and put it on my Apex when I extended it. I believe its listed for the M series cats. I think it was around 50.00. Your welcome to drop by and have a look at it.

1.5" aluminum angle like you are thinking of. 3/8 hole every 2". Works great and I have 5 aluminum pop rivets holding each one on. Nice and tight after 2 years of use and some 25# loads.

just finished rack install looks good arctic cat rack phazernut has is great bang for buck love my yam but 274$ for little tunnel rack is a little rediculous had some 11/2 L channel alluminum similar to blueironranger good satisfaction to make something that actually works out well.

no phazernut rack like you have is between 50 to 60$ just like you said good bargain I would not have thought to look at the cat store . Just goes to show sometimes you got to get creative to get a bargain. Thanks I still have to get some of that turf stuff on tunnel I think you said I could get that there also.

It is for the bearcat rear rack. If you order from mile one just ask dick to get the stuff he ordered for me.
