So I Pulled the old girl out of the trailer this weekend and started go thru it, new hyfax, boggies and then did a compression test. keep in mind I rain 6 psi last winter fueling with a pc5. plugs looked fat, and one cylinder was down to 180 psi other two at 195 so I decided to pull engine for a better look in there. after I pulled the head didn't see much else,(I really just wanted a reason to do head studs) :jump:

I dropped head off at machine shop today to do a deck and valve job to hopefully remedy that low psi cylinder.

Now onto my point of the thread,
  • I ride sea level
  • I'm doing APR studs tq to 55#lbs
  • I have head shim never installed and 99% sure I don't want to use it
  • My AFR gauge last season rain fat, 10.8 a lot of the time even WOT (6 psi)
  • Pc5 with a external fuel pump and regulator
What do you guys think I can get away with for boost without changing anything in my fuel system? 10 psi? 100 octane fuel should be ok at 10 psi? And when I'm in here should I do any other motor work?

What do you have against installing the head shim? It would be so easy since you already have it pulled apart. If you say throttle response, I would argue otherwise.
