Feets,
I run a Bender in the mountains. This will be my third season. I think it is fair to say I know the Bender system well.
You will not be disapointed. You will also not be disapointed in the MC. After riding with RX-Fun this last year I would call the Bender vs. MC contest a draw. Both are similar and yet have some minor diferences. I like Benders Pitot system a lot. I also like MC's oil system a lot.
I am not convinced that front mounts are as good as rear mounts in the mountains. They produce a lot of heat. Running down a trail in Michigan at 90 mph in 5 degree weather helps cool the sled a bunch. Climbing hills WOT with only 10 mph of vehicle speed all day long in the mountains does not help cool the sled.
The other benefit I see with the rear mounts is the in tunnel charge tube. In the mountains we tend to run in good deep snow. Snow constantly hitting the charge tube helps keep you temps down a bunch.
I do not believe you will get an unbiased opinion by calling Donnie or from JT. I am not sure if JT still has an affiliation with Lightning Pro or not, but at one time he was a partner in their operation.

Turbo lag??
Maybe all a guy needs is a Vector front mount cause there is no lag at all
Compared to rear mounts or RX1.
Very nice to drive and not revy at all. Lots of torque.
I will say that the guy that does a good setup is what makes your sledding great.
I have seen a few setups that are pretty scary and the guy thinks it's great untill you ride it!!
Snowmobilers always have the best or biggest!!
Untill a old guy flys by him out just having fun!!
But I will leave the big hills for young crazy ones that just glue it!

I clutched a Vector frount mount for a buddy. It was smooth & did not seem fast at all till you lined it up with brand X,s. Not even in the same postal/Zip/ code!!!!

The only way to reduce the lag is to move the Turbo closer to the intake. The closer the better.
I wonder if you have ridden a rear mount MCX. I rode a front mount that was supposed to be lag free and it had more lag then mine.
I also rode a Bender rear mount that was absolutely pathetic with lag.

No I'm not affilated with LP from a Business aspect anymore. Fred and Bob are still very good friends.
As far as perfomace goes you say your not biased what a damm joke. Donnie has owned all the turbo's out there. He's been using his LP for over a year and liked it so much he became the mountain dealer for LP. He could have sold any turbo system he wanted and he choose the LP.
As far as temps go I want to know how you think you have a right to Comment on a product you've never owned. The only front mount you've been personally associated with was a proto type.
Just call Donnie and make formulate your own opinions. Spary25 is not unbiased as a Bender owner and has a personal agenda against LP.

Like I said Bender moving the turbo forward in Chuck H's race sled said it all for me. Back here all we do is lake race and rear mounts are right where there turbo is at the end of every race "in the rear".
Who's Front mount did you ride that had lag????

I dont want to say which front mount had more lag then mine because they are represented here sometimes and it could have been the tuner. All I will say is that it was on a very $$$$ chassis. I raced probably a dozen front mount turbos at the shootout and the only turbo that clearly beat me was the CPR Racers Edge. And if I would have been a better tuner and had my suspension under control I beleive I could have given them a decent race. The thing about it is that my rear mount will take most RXT's right from the line and on up to 20lbs. The Mitsu 16t that mcx puts on their kits is an awesome little turbo. I suppose some of the other tricks I have done help it as well. Not saying rear is better, just saying dont count out the mcx rear cause I beleive its right there.

I have nothing I repeat nothing against the rear mounts. I like Terry Paine from Bender. Over the last year I've talked to him on the phone and at every show Bender has been at that I've attended. I think Bender builds great products.
Unlike some people with personal Agenda's I have nothing against any Turbo manufactures. Hell Jeff Simons and I talk on the phone quite a bit these days. Everyone knows how much he and I have battled over the last 3 years.
Buy what you like, I was just trying to help a guy get some info on these kits from a guy that's owned "benders, MCX, and now LP's" turbo kits.

Good advice... Try taking it.
Lot's of people have differing opinions and they don't have to match yours.

Hey Ray like I said time to let it go and grow up. Your the one that used my name in your post and said the Donnie and I had Biased opinions. I simply pointed out you saying that was like "the pot calling he kettle black"
I don't care if your opinion matches mine Ray. This is the last time I'm going to tell you this "do not use my name anymore" Or there is going to be a problem. This Turbo #*$&@ is old and the only reason you still run your mouth is you have a personal problem with ME and LP. I'm tired of it.

Is that supposed to be some sort of threat? Boy I'm scared now.
The OP asked for opinions you gave one and I gave one. There is no harm in that. I do not believe that you, being a former partner at LP and an admitted close friend of the current owners, give a completely unbiased opinion. I also do not believe that ANY dealer of a specific product, including Donnie, or for that matter a Bender dealer gives a completely unbiased opinion. If you call Terry and ask about his kit you are NOT going to get a completely unbiased opinion. Hence my comment. If you feel like I am biased towards Bender you are propbably right. I own one and have had a mostly good experience with it. That probably makes me at least somewhat biased.
When someone asks for opinions on here many people are going to respond. They are not always going to agree with you JASON. If you can't handle that then YOU have a problem JASON, not me.

It's not a threat it's a warning. I'm tired of you playing your little games. The funny part of it is Ryan's LP turbo had nothing to do with you. Yet when ever you get a chance to take jab you do.
Your a complete hypocrite. Your telling me that everyone has a different opinion and that I should understand that. Then in the next breath your posting how My opinion and Donnie's are biased. Ray buy yourself a clue. Go back before you ever posted and find where I said anyone would get an unbiased opinion from anyone that posted on this subject.
Be a man and admit that you have animosity in regard LP and Me for that matter!!!!!!!!
