Thats right the same day the same fuse on two different rx-1's blew out on us. The 10 amp head light fuse on mine has now blown twice put a new one in and all is well. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this?

Have you look at the condition of the wires wherever they flex such as at the hood hinge? I would trace them and look for areas where the insulation might have been worn through. Are you using the stock bulbs and not higher wattage bulbs?

The concern is the harness by the storage compartment/tool box on the right side, happened on my wifes sled last year on a night ride. If you remove the tool/storage box and check the harness where it lays across a alumminum brace, it may not fully show a rub thru as it does not take much for it to happen. Wrap the harness with tape and place a piece of split heater hose on the brace and you will be all set. There are several threads on this for every season, just do a search and you may even see some pictures of the concern.

I forgot aout the rub through issue in the tool box area. The harness cable runs past some sharp edges up in the front buklhead area. I wrapped the harness with a plastic spiral wrap that is made to cluster wires together to make a harness. This has worked fine. It is worth giving all the wires a good inspection on high mileage sleds.
