2015 Sr Viper Ltx Le
Hey everyone. Have not posted until now. New to forum. Last March I purchased a 15' Sr Viper LTX LE (BLue and Orange Color). It was a display model and my dealer sold it to me right after using it for promoting next year model campaign. Anyway brought it home looked it over and started it up and the dang thing started to leak coolant. After 4 trips back and forth to dealer and telling them politely that they did not fix the issue, I had to show them myself how I got the machine to leak. After all the searching and testing and could not find leak they did not let the machine run long enough for the thermostat to open up and that is when it leaked. Problem solved.
Problem #2 I already put over 100 miles on my machine before going up northern NH for my annual snowmobile vacation. I figured that if I did not have any more problems in that frame of mileage, I should be fine. Boy was I wrong. First day on vacation, approx. 10 miles from cabin where I was staying, The oil light came on and engine shut down. Got off of sled, opened the side panel to look at oil sight glass and none was in it. I saw it pouring out from the bottom of belly pan. Got back from vaca, took it to dealer they looked into it and found one of the oil lines rubbed a hole in itself. Not happy at all with the Yamaha QC dept. That should have not happened. I love the ride of this machine but the trust worthiness is another story. Maybe I should have kept my 10' RS Vector. It had zero issues. It was just not comfortable to ride.

96 double backers so they don't pullout

I have 15 Rtx-le so far no mechanical issues. Knock on wood. Seems quite reliable. Thought they would have that all sorted out by then.

I have 15 RTX-LE 1.7" MPI Turbo, 600 KMS, No problems except my dealer thinks my rear shock is Shot. But someone told me on TY that if you press down on the rear suspension while it is on Dollies it will have very little resistance. I am away at work now but will be interested to check it out. Besides that, I love the machine.......Comin off a Clutched Apex with Steath Air Box Mod and 144 Suds, I don't think it had the Low - Mid range that this viper has, haven't really tried to see how it is on top end, but Low-Mid range its probably the fastest I have owned. And the Ride doesn't compare!!!!!
