Ulmer airbox mod

Just purchased Ulmers air box mod need to now if there any icing problems? If any pre filter material is needed?

I was wondering the same thing. I ride #2 in our group and take in a lot of snow dust.

No icing issues. Ive run Ulmers stealth lid for a few seasons never an icing issue. It's pretty warm under the hood in these sleds btw. This year I also ran a ram air lid on topof Ulmers stealth airbox. That one does have prefilter and Sno dust does collect on it. Never freezes, but collects on it. I like running both.

absolultely you will have issues! I have modded three of my sleds, attak, apex mtn, and xtx and all 3 had problems. Not all the time can you keep the nose up when your in the deep snow and it rushes right in through the two vents in the nose. Instead of buying frog skin i used black pantyhose and stretched it underneath the vents. Air can still easily pass but it holds back the majority of the snow. If you ride trail there wont be a problem

I also had issues with the top air box mod as the snow would be wet or melt from the heat of the sled and eventually make that prefilter wet enough it would drip in. That only happened with extremely fresh snow and warm conditions but had a lot more problems with the stealth mod than top mod
