Ulmer Stealth Airbox Mod for Apex or Attak--need feedback

hey fella's, can us stock air box guy's adjust this co setting to get a little leaner on bottom end is stock setting really rich i don't have any bog but was just wondering if you can go a little leaner.should all the cylinders be set at the same setting. whats safe to set the co setting on a stock attak what is the stock setting at anyway.when i had my 2 stroke i adjusted the needle and pilot jet and main jets and it ripped was very snappy i know it is totally diff than the 4 stroker's hoping to get out this weekend and finally get to try out allen's clutch kit i here nothing but good things about it

If you don't have a bog or a stumble down low leave well enough alone! The only time I've adjusted the CO settings was on 1 stock sled that had a stumble and that was 1 out of the 15 or so that I personally worked on last season.

I have yet to see a photo of Ulmer's air box mod, is there anything to this? I hacked out the bottom of my box, but I was wondering what gets done for your money.
Just curious!

ULMER is a great vendor and a huge help to the entire site and all members. Having done all the R&D he did on this he may not want to have a detailed picture and I dont blame him because people copy things. Plus with the bottom of the airbox you have to be careful with the crankcase oil venting.

Thanks, I was just curious. I've heard alot about it, but never have gotten to see it. I cut the bottom of my airbox out with my dremel, making sure to only cut the factory airhorn and the surrounding area aout. I left the little drain hose nipple and re-attached it just incase I ever wanted to put it back to stock, I still have the little hose there... I don't know... sounded good when I did it.
I was also carefull to only cut out the portion that allowed air from the same area. I didn't cut the part of the box that sit on the frame, or was outside the original element.
Allen, do you guys make any modifications to the inside of the box as well. I wouldn't ask what the are, but I can hear my intake noise a little bit, and would consider getting one from you if it would work better than what I did..

We do some slight blending on the inside, nothing major just a little touching up on the corners, etc. I can not say that I can hear any difference under acceleration and definitely not at idle.
