ulmer clutch kit

have the Ulmer kit with STM arms, helix etc. helix is wrapped 6-3 would loosening that up to say 6-1 allow it to shift up a bit quicker ? find that it carries lots of RPM when cruising at 30-50 wondering if doing so will help my MPG a bit for a long trip. FYI sled pulls hard with this kit like it overall
