Hey guys, first off Merry Christmas to all! Yesterday afternoon I went for my first ride of the season with my new ulmer stage 2 kit. I think i hit the rev limiter for just a brief second Ithen fall to about 10,800... and haul the freakin mail! Is this okay, or do I need to add a bit more weight? Thanks, and Merry Christmas again. Keith

probably don't want to be banging off of the rev limiter. What RPM is that, like 11,300? Adding a washer to the heal should do the trick. Call allen and ask him, that is why you bought his kit.....great customer service.

I wanna say 11,100... it sounds like the rev limiter... I couldnt stare at the tach though, I will ride tommorow afternoon and see for sure. When it falls back, it stayed at around 10,800 till about 95, and I had to get out of it. I'll call Allen Wednesday it this holds true.

do u have a apex or a attack and what is your stage 2 set up

had 4-2 in the heel, talked to Allen today and he said to make it 4-4 in the heel lowering my rpm by about 400.... hopefully that will do it. Oh yeah, Apex gt 09

So, adding weight to the heal. What is a 4-2 or 4-4?? Is that the size of a washer or what? Not fimiliar with the term

I have to look again... still over revving a bit... 112 on SPEEDO... not hard hard packed, but still pretty flat... I have pc3, ignition mod, air box mod, don't know if this speed is close or not. 10900ish... could be doughnuts also, 5000 miles 09 Apex GT

You are kinda talking in circles. If you are overreving after final shift, add weight to the tip(although I think 10,800-10,900 is perfect). Originally you talked about an over rev just initially, which would be as Alan said, to load the heal up more. Not sure what you think "could be doughnuts", as bad exhaust donoughts will actually kill your power.
