I got the new Venom Air Box Kit in and installed it. I like it a lot. Install was easy (if you have the tools) and I can't hear and change in the sound in the shop.
It will pull cold air and that should help a lot.
Quality materials make up the kit and the instructions were fine.

Yes, you make the mod to your stock airbox.
Yeah, it can be hard to find, his site nav isn't the best. Homepage> Engine Performance> Intake Kits> bottom of page.

Thanks for the tip on the template. Just got mine in the mail today and looking forward to installing it!

I have mine on the bench, I will trim the template up a little to raise it up a little. But I did see that the instructions say to cut on the inside of the black line/marks, you are saying to cut it even short correct?

The hole is simply a 3-1/4" so all you need the circle for is a center point if you are using a hole saw.
Sorry, I don't have a kits part picture I already installed it.
It consists of a nice aluminum flange with 8 screws
1 3" velocity stack with a clamp and cover/filter
3 velocity stacks for the intakes inside of the box
Instructions

Did you make him aware of the issue so he can change his directions? I'd hate to see people have problems getting their kits together.Glad to help.
On the template, you won't notice it while the airbox is apart, only when you go to put it together again, if too low the bolts hit inside making it hard to make it seal. It can go up at least a 1/2" and still have no clearance issues in the box or under the hood.

I'm not sure. All you do to the bottom is remove the plastic snorkel.

What is the best way to order this from ulmer? Haven't had much luck getting ahold of them to place an order.

You can send him an email too. He is very busy being a one man show, but he will get back to you.
