Anyone know where to get a very, very thin balaclava? I use the Doo Modular2 helmet, it is very warm, would just like a thin layer with my face exposed. Mostly to help keep the neck a bit warmer. Most 'neckwarmers' are too bulky. Any ideas?

thanks

Got mine from Port Yamaha (Check out pic, both wife and I have one)

Good idea, that should be easy to find. thanks.

I have some boots from Mark's and am totally blown away at their performance for what I paid for them.

The ski-doo mountain balaclava is absolutely awesome! If there is a dealer near you!

Never thought of that, I could have asked when I got the Mod2 helmet..

thanks

I just use a thin balaclava and pull the face opening down over my head to keep neck & chin warmer. When the helmet comes off I pull it back up over my head .... Works pretty well. I keep a heavier balaclava in the pouch for colder days or when wearing the Klim F4 helmet which is much colder.

I have the same helmet, and are using this balaclava. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0037Y ... UTF8&psc=1

If I have anything Id improve on this balaclava, it would be Id make it slightly longer. This season I bought a Klim Valdez jacket and it has a very high neck collar. With the Valdez jacket the balaclava is perfect for length. With my old Yamaha jacket, every once in a while Id have to tuck it back in on the back of my neck. It has more than enough length on the front of the neck.

I tried others along the way, and keep coming back to this one. Earlier this week I was thinking to myself I hope I can find another one to buy so I can have a spare, so I Googled it and found it on Amazon for $6.04. At that price I bought 2 of them and just received them today.

They are super thin on top and do an excellent job of keeping your neck warm.

I use the arctiva windshield balaclava. Its thin, and works well even under my MX helmet.

Are they a snowmobile boot or some other type of boot?

I am in need of some new boots but can't make up my mind on what to get!

Some more info on them Mike would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ;)!

Irv,

breathable, very light and very warm even at -30c. Replaceable liners also.

Thanks Mike. ;)!

Pricier than what I thought they'd be but if they work, then likely worth it.

I have heard great things about these boots, especially the light weight, but also suppose to be very warm?

At this point in the season, I think I may wait until some sales come up or wait until the sled shows next fall.
