Well, I have removed the pro action skid and compaired the SC 10 III to the 03 proaction. The biggest difference is that the front arm mount is much further back than the proaction. I had to make a new hole in the tunnel for the SC 10 that was 5 1/2 " further back and 1 3/4 " further up in the tunnel. Now I need to make some reinforcing plates for the front hole and the rear drop's. I plan to use 3/16 aluminum plate for the reinforcing. I will have to rivot the plates to the tunnel (I may use 1/4" x1/2" ss bolts). The skidoo suspension arms are approx 1/2" narrower that the yamaha arms so the 3/16 plates should take up the extra clearance nicely. I will need to measure a SC10 III installed in a sled to get an accurate c-c measurement for the location of the rear drop mount.
I have noticed that the SC 10 III has nearly 2 1/2" more front arm travel than the Pro action. This should make the studder bumps melt away nicely.
I will post pics when I am done.

I have a SC10 III and a Cat skid, wanted to use the doo skid because its in awsome condition. But I couldn't get enough input ! Keep updating, if you get it done before I have time to install the cat skid, I just may have to switch back to the doo! Good luck! Dave

SC10 III install is complete. I will be posting pics and mounting points ect soon. Allthough I havent realy ridden the sled yet (only on grass on lawn) I feel that this skid will be a huge improvement. After a test ride on the grass I did lower the mounting point of the front arm by 1" from my original location (too much ski pressure). I am sure that I will have to play with the preload, limiter straps and coupling blocks to get everything in tune.
If you plan to do this install you will need some 3/16 aluminum sheet, (12"x24" will be plenty). The install is realy quite easy, but you may want to wait untill I get some snow time to verify the mounting points for proper ski pressure ect.

I realy do not know for sure how much weight was lost installing the sc10 III. I would estimate 15 - 20 lbs
