What's the coldest anyone has used the YTX20H-BS at and got it started no problem? I have an 07 attak that I had out last winter at -50F and she wouldn't fire at all. I know that's cold to be expecting no issues but when your out in the middle of nowhere not a ton you can do. It's got a stock battery atm wondering if this battery makes enough of a difference to at least give it a shot in that cold.

I can not say what the lowest starting temperature possible is with the YTX20H-BS installed in an Apex. I can say that at 310 CCA it has 110 more CCA than the stock battery which is a 55% increase in CCA. I would say that is a significant enough of an increase to make a big difference in cold temperature starting ability.

Just to touch on some earlyer post...07 apex still have original battery. sits all summer with optimate charger on it ...no problem no reason to replace. Ran a load test and still at new specs. Seven yrs old??I bought a new one just to haveon the bench so ya know this one will last for ever! I would stick with nothing less than the OEM unit IMO.

It wont last forever. Don't wait until it fails when you need it. If you have received 7 years of service I would consider yourself lucky and retire it now. Just my $0.02

Does the YTX20H-BS fit in the original spot without mods to the bracket? Also are the terminals same location or reversed? Hard to follow some of the earlier posts with so many batteries being talked about.

The YTX20H-BS will fit perfectly with the original foam spacers removed. The polarity is correct. The bracket and cover do not need to be modified.

Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between Yuasa Motocross Platinum motorcycle battery and the Yuasa OEM battery Yamaha uses?

I just replaced my original from 2006. Never left it on a tender and only jumped it 3 times in all those years. This year it was time. I replaced it with:

My now 5 year old YTX20-BS Yuasa on the Apex started no prob after summer storage no trickle charger.
The Crank brand, same size, I got 2 year ago for the vector was dead. Don't buy Crank batteries from Royal Distributing. To top it off Royal says my problem is not with their Crank batteries but that I am lucky my Yuasa is still good. WTF nice service.

I think there so full of Sh*&^@_ there eyes are brown!! I have had my original Yuasa in my 07 apex for 8 yrs or more , cant recall... not a hick-up. On a battery tender at all times when stored for summer. Still using it in my grandkids sled ! Put a new one in the apex just for kicks... There are sooo many people unqualified to give advise. Just make sure nothing is draining the battery on the Vector
